PIED-A-TERRE, REGENTS PARk
London, 2017
The pied-a-terre was a very exciting challenge for Hazel Collins Design as it was a lesson in how to make a very small space seem much larger and airier. The couple living there gave the team free reign to do as they liked, though they admitted a love of all things concrete. It’s crucial to the Hazel to incorporate the needs of a client, and so with no architect, and all the planning permission they could ask for, they applied concrete influences, tiles, grey marble backdrops and also took it from a 2 bed to a 1 bed.
The end result was a far more practical and flexible space to live in. Essentially, Hazel Collins Design modernised every aspect of it and brought it forward into the 21st century.
